Michelle Alfini is a multimedia journalist at Spectrum News 1 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She has a passion for uplifting forgotten or overlooked voices and using storytelling to build empathy and promote change.
She began her career at KBJR 6/CBS 3 in Duluth, Minnesota. There, she covered a variety of stories including the explosion at the Husky Energy refinery. As the first reporter on scene, she gave updates from the field as the station aired seven hours of continuous coverage. In 2018, that coverage was awarded an Upper Midwest EMMY for breaking news reporting.
